Collective Sarojini Haul!

I went to Sarojini market today and bought some goodies again. I went there to just get a shirt, but you know, girls cannot get one thing. So I end up geting a denim shirt and pajama pants! The rest was bought few weeks ago in Sarojini.

If you dont know what Sarojini market is, it is a huge market in New Delhi mainly full of clothing and random things (kitchen supplies, shoes, cloth, and more). There are not the best quality but you can get stuff for a great price! You need to bargain to buy it cheap. Usually I buy my clothing for about 100~300 rs. I dont know how much it costs for older people or local people because the price they call can change. Usually they sell it more expensive to older people and foreigners. Sarojini market is usually crowded but its worth exploring! I wasn't that interested in Sarojini in the past but now I'm in love with it.

I'm a little obsessed with denim shirts & jakets! Sarojini has a large collection of cheap denim shirts so make sure to check them out.

I love everything I bought and hopefully I'll wear it often! After falling in love with Sarojini, I'm not buying clothes from other stores haha.

Have you been to Sarojini? What is your favorite purchase?

Snow Globe Collection

I started to collect snow globes from all around the world. I still havent found the perfect place to display them in my house :( I hope you enjoy my mini collection of snow globes and hope it will inspire you to collect too! I havent collected all the snow globes from all the countries. Also, not all the snow globes are  bought myself. My friends know I collect snow globes and they were kind enough to get me one when they traveled :)

GNO at Chilis

It has been long since we had a night out together. Well, not all of us, one went away for school trip, and the other one just didn't pick up her phone (yes I'm talking to you Banana!). For the past few months, all of us were busy with our own lives dealing with work and stress, and finally we managed to spare a time for a night out! Nothing really fancy though, but we still had so much fun. It nearly felt like a reunion since we were so busy at school too haha. I just had a chicken club sandwich, again, nothing really fancy or new. In a few months eating food together will be extremely hard. This makes me really sad. I will miss these girls so much after graduation and think about our little dinner at Chilis too haha :)

Why do I post lame photos of Chilis? I don't know. Its pointless, but oh well, I find it interesting to look at other people's food (say what?).  I'll keep you guys updated with my food haha.

(by the way, fries dipped in ketchup mixed with tabasco is amazing. Sounds weird? Try it out first!)

Mini Bourjois collection

Out of all the drugstore brands, Bourjois have to be my favorite! I adore their foundations. I have only tried their face products: foundation, blush and bronzer. Bourjois products feel very luxurious. Bourjois owns Chanel, so the formulas are quite similar too. Bourjois's baked eyeshadows and blushes are know to be great dupes for Chanel products. Only downside on Bourjois is they ony have 5-6 shades of foundations. The shades are great, they are not too pink or yellow. However, foundations for people with deep skin tones will be hard to find.

Bourjois chocolate bronzer 52, healthy mix serum foundation 51, 123 perfect foundation 51, round pot blushes in 37 and 34.

Current Bourjois collection! I had the healthy mix foundation too but I finished it over the summer.

Healthy mix serum foundation is light, gel formula foundation. It smells amazing (same scent as the original healthy mix). It is very hydrating and amazing for dry skin. Dont use it on oily skin or it will melt away in an hour! Only downside I have is the lasting power and the coverage. Maybe people with very dry skin won't have a problem, but for my combination skin it doesn't last long. My t-zone area turns oily even though I powder it or blot during the day. The coverage is light, similar to a BB cream.

123 perfect foundation claims that it has 3 pigment for color correcting, yellow pigments for anti dark circles, mauve pigments for anti dull complexion, and green pigments for anti dullness. It does live up to the claim! I love this foundation because it covers redness like a boss. It also covers red acne very well. It works well for oily to combination skin but not for dry skin. It gives a semi matte finish. During the summer, I use 123 perfect foundation, but during the fall time or when my skin is dry in the summer, I mix moisturizer or a foundation mixing cream (such as MAC stroke cream) to change the texture.

Swatches top to bottom: Chocolate bronzer in 52, round pot blush in 37, round pot blush in 34.

The chocolate bronzer is my current favorite bronzer. Its not muddy or orangey on your skin and it has a good lasting power. I use a fluffy powder blush to give more dimension and a sun kissed look to my skin.

Blush rose pompon 37 is a very natural pink blush. It looks amazing in the pot and on the skin. However, the pigmentation is not that good. When I first used it I had to carve the blush to be used on my brush. It is hard to pick up the color. I had to keep on layering to get the desired color.

Blush rose d'or 34 is a famous dupe for Nars orgasm blush (yes thats a name for a blush). It looks beautiful in the  pot and swatches nicely. It has gold shimmer that looks amazing on the skin. This is not a good blush if you have large pores because the gold shimmer exaggerates the look of your pores.

Overall, Bourjois is a amazing drugstore brand with great quality. I dont think anyone can go wrong with Bourjois. If you havent tried any Bourjois products, please go try it out!

BENEFIT hervana box powder blush review

Benefit is one of the brands that I absolutely LOVE! I only tried 4 Benefit products but all of them were really good quality and have the cutest packaging in the world!  Box powders are Benefit's best seller. They are basically powder blush or all over face powders.

Hervana contains 4 shades and when you swirl it all together, it creates a a soft pink color with blue undertones. The swatch on your finger might look very bright but when you apply it on your cheeks, it creates a stunning pink shade good for everyday wear. The color is similar to MAC's well dressed blush, but Hervana has more warmth to it.
It lasts for a long time and does not fade away. Pigmentation is good, its not too pigmented that you need to be careful using it. I think Hervana is a great blush for everyone from light to deep skin tones.
Many people complain about the packaging, but I personally love it. It is made out of hard cardboard and some people think its bulky. I personally love it. I never had problems traveling with it :).
The brush contained in the box is angled, different from the previous box powders. Personally the brush is too small and it is hard to apply.

I think I am addicted to these box powders. I'm hoping to get the new Rockateur blush too!

Skincare Empties

Skincare empties! All of the skincare products were bought at Korea. My skin is very sensitive and acne prone. It used to be very dry, then combination, and now its super combination (?). My t-zone gets very oily while my cheeks are extremely dry. During the winter, nothing will work on my dry cheeks. The most moisturizing product for my cheeks was the Kiehls ultra facial cream, but after about 10 hours my skin will be super dry again. Now Im getting so many acne due to stress and most of the products mentioned here claims to reduce acne.

Top left to right: Care Zone doctor solution A-cure clarifying  emulsion, serum, spot corrector, cream.
Bottom left to right: The Body Shop tea tree oil, Himalaya acne n pimple cream.

Skincare for acne prone skin!

Care Zone is a Korean skin care brand made for sensitive skin. They have several other lines for different skin types (dry, oily, large pores, hydration, men... they have more but thats what I can remember). Good thing about Care Zone is that they are made without mineral oils, alcohol, fragrances, dye and paraben. It doesn't irritate at all for my very sensitive skin.
I finished this whole collection of Care Zone's acne line, but it did not help to reduce my acne significantly. I can never use this line in the winter because it is drying even with the serum for me.
Overall, its not a terrible product, it does soothes and moisturize your skin, but I havent seen dramatic change to my acne prone skin. I wont repurchase this now, but maybe later, I'm not sure.

The Body Shop tea tree oil is a famous product for spot treating your acne. I remember loving this when I first got it 2 years ago, but now it doesn't work as good as before.  It contains 15% tea tree oil. Whats the rest? I don't know. It does help soothe angry acne but nothing more for me.

Himalaya acne n pimple cream has a weird texture. It looks pearl-y (?) and it is very hard to blend. I had to keep on tapping on my skin to make it absorb. I dont know if I'll repurchase this, it really didn't do much. It claims that it will get rid of acne without scarring, but guess what, all my acne left a scar. :(

Left to right: Beyond hug sun powder cream sunscreen SPF 50+/PA+++, Thayers alcohol free lavender toner, Belif the true cream-aqua bomb.

Beyond hug sun power cream was nice for summer season. It has a matte finish and evens out your skin tone a little bit. It does control oil and give a nice smooth texture on your skin. Only down side is it is really thick and I can never use this when the weather gets cold.

Thayers lavender toner was a good product in general, but nothing too exciting about. It didn't irritate my skin or broken me out. I like this because it is huge (355 mL!) because I tend to use a lot of toner on my cotton round to prevent pulling my skin.

Belif aqua bomb cream is very famous in Korea. It more highly rated than Kiehl ultra facial cream and Clinique moisture surge. Compared from Kiehls cream, it absorbs quickly and have a pleasant scent. I hate the scent of kiehls cream. I remember I had to stop breathing through my nose when I applied it. Belif aqua bomb is very nice, its very moisturizing without being oily and makes your skin feel extra smooth. They also have a "intense" one for very dry skin. Im planning to get the intense one for winter this year!

CLINIQUE even better foundation review

I can never get enough of foundations. Having 4 face make up product is more than you need but... I'm always on the search for the perfect one for me. So far I have tried about 10 face products (foundation, BB cream, CC cream, mineral powder) but none of them were amazing or worth the hype for me, EXCEPT for Bourjois healthy mix foundation. Saying good bye to the trusty old healthy mix foundation, I got Clinique even better foundation! I read so many good reviews that this is the perfect foundation for combination to dry skin with medium to high coverage.

Clinique Even Better Foundation - 01 Alabaster

Sephora describes this foundation as "A dermatologist developed liquid foundation that immediately brightens and evens out the skin tone with naturally luminous minerals". It claims that it reduces dark spots in 4-6 weeks, but I'm not sure about that.
I got the shade 01 alabaster, which is a shade for very fair skin with neutral under tone. I'm NC20 according to MAC shade. Alabaster was the lightest shade they had in my Clinique store. I was quite surprised that it was the lightest because usually I'm second to lightest shade. They have other shades for very fair skin with different undertones on the Sephora website. I prefer yellow toned foundation but unfortunately neutral was all they had at the store.

foundations left to right: Bourjois healthy mix serum shade 51,  Bourjois 123 perfect shade 51, Revlon whipped creme foundation shade 180 natural ochre, Clinique even better 01.

Actual review:

Coverage is definitely medium but it can give more coverage if you layer it. I dont recommend trying to cover up with only this foundation since it does cake up with more than 2 layers on the skin. It does not cover all my acne scaring, but overall it does give a nice evened out look to your skin. It looks polished and flawless without looking as if you piled tons of make up. It doesn't cover all your pigmentations but it is excellent on covering redness.

Lasting power is pretty good but not the best. After 8 hours of applying I can notice that the foundation has faded a little bit. T-zone area was oily and I have to blot in the middle of the day. I dont recommend this to oily skin at all.

Finish is dewy and natural. It does give a healthy glow and brightens the skin. It looks very natural on the skin and maintains the brightness for a long time.

Color selection is wide from very fair to deep with 3 types of under tones, yellow, pink and neutral. There will be a shade for everyone to be happy with!

Packaging is excellent. It might look cheap but its light and handy First I had to get used to controlling how much to squeeze but after about 3 usage I got the hang of it. It's travel friendly and its not bulky at all. Its sanitary not like Revlon whipped creme foundation where you need to dip your finger/brush in every time.

Blendability is great. Its not thick or too liquidy. Its easily blendable with your fingers or any type of brushes.

Application: I use my fingers or Sigma F80 brush or an air-puff sponge. These days I use all three methods. I spread it out with my fingers then blend it with F80, and dab the sponge all over my face quickly to remove brush marks. The sponge helps it to look extra flawless and evens the layer of the foundation. It sounds too much for foundation application but trust me, it gives the best look to your skin!

Sigma F80 and Aritaum Air-Puff sponge.

Overall its an average foundation. Its not terrible or amazing. Only problem I have is that my t-zone gets oily after about 4-5 hours of use and it fades little bit. Its a good foundation but I personally dont think its worth all the hype about this. I find it like a traditional foundation.

Have you tried this foundation? Do you think its worth the purchase?
